also a vineyard

15 km far from Noyant lays the vineyard of Saint-Pourçain.

Textes from Middle Age tell us the at that time the wine of Saint Pourçain was so famous, that it was served at the table of the kings of France.

Since last year, endly, the wine of Saint-Pourçain is classified A.O.C.. The white wine is always tasty. The red is light : with cheese or delicatessen, or with the traditionnal "pompe aux gratons", also with the simple meats I cook, it's a pleasure for me to serve it.
For few years, we can also find a "rosé" wine. It's not my favourite, but I use to serve it as "aperitif" in sommer.
