one week in the Middle Age

A lot of little towns, in France, organize historical fest. But in Souvigny, 7 km far from Noyant, it lasts 10 days, at the end of july and beginning of august.
For the adults as for the children, it's the opportunity to be a child again.

the country of old roman churches

Meillers is the neighbour village : on the door of the church, 2 surprising sculptures : a donkey and a lion playing music. What is their message ? the most popular is that it invites human beings don't to follow the crazyness of the two animals, which, naturally, cannot play music !!!

also a vineyard

15 km far from Noyant lays the vineyard of Saint-Pourçain.

Textes from Middle Age tell us the at that time the wine of Saint Pourçain was so famous, that it was served at the table of the kings of France.

Since last year, endly, the wine of Saint-Pourçain is classified A.O.C.. The white wine is always tasty. The red is light : with cheese or delicatessen, or with the traditionnal "pompe aux gratons", also with the simple meats I cook, it's a pleasure for me to serve it.

For few years, we can also find a "rosé" wine. It's not my favourite, but I use to serve it as "aperitif" in sommer.

to rest one day or more

I will be happy to have the opportunity to improve my english and let you discover my region.

First, it's a nice aera for people who like walk through a typical countryside.

You will be welcome in the house I inherited from my grand parents and which I am renovating.

It's located just in the center of France (exit Monmarault - Highway A 75. Bourbon l'Archambaud and its spas are 15 km far away.
